Madrid | Photography

Madrid is one of my favorite cities. I first came here in 2007, where I lived for two months over the course of the summer. I returned in January 2019 and was once again swept up in its breathtaking beauty, formidable culture, and — of course — its food. It’s my favorite city to get lost in, to spend days wandering alone, to meet new people and drink wine and try new foods and take photos.

One of my favorite things about visiting European cities is how the old architecture — which looks so very different from the U.S. — is interwoven with signs of newness. Fashion, fast food, supermarkets all live along side wrought iron frames and arched windows.
